Mark Haward
Mark Haward is the coordinator and chief trainer for Mind Kind UK, specialising in providing practical teaching strategies, learning tools, coaching, mentoring and training developed from international research.
Mark is an avid sportsman. He is passionate about sailing, climbing, skiing and diving! He is probably most relaxed (!) when on a long rock climbing route in the Alps or Himalayas. An expert in ‘learning how to learn’ and international learning research, he is looking forward to sharing the powerful resources and techniques Mind Kind have developed.
If you are interested in any of Mark's INSET courses please fill out the Consultant enquiry form within the inset page or contact the office on 01672 512914 for further details and availability.
Mark gained his B.Ed Hons Degree from the University of Wales and has spent twenty four years working as an educator in England, Wales, Australia and New Zealand. After gaining a Management Diploma he worked with advisors to help schools implement the History and Geography National Curriculum. It was while researching learning techniques worldwide that he met Chris Gamble and joined his international team. In 1996 Mark became the Chief Trainer for Mind Kind in the U.K. and has worked as an independent consultant with schools, colleges, universities and the business sector since then.
Mark has set up and run Learning Centres, helped schools become nationally recognised leaders in their field, develops long term partnerships with Head teachers and schools, supports Ph.D. programs, trains advisors, creates learning to learn systems within schools, works alongside hundreds of teachers in their classrooms and, most importantly, helps individual teachers and pupils to succeed and achieve!
Mark’s skills and expertise have also been sought after in the business sector. Project partnerships have taken place with British Telecom, I.C.I, Pfizer and the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development.

Coaching and training may be delivered in a series of workshops, half days or whole days delivered over a period of time. You set the agenda, I will help you reach your goals.
