Effective Support for Learning

A full day course for LSAs / TAs on supporting students in secondary schools.  This course can be tailored to ensure it meets the needs of the audience and the students they may be supporting within school.  The focus of the day will be to:

• Develop understanding of the wide variety of needs that LSAs / TAs may encounter including the barriers to learning that many students face.
• Offer many practical ideas on how to support youngsters both in the classroom and for withdrawal work particularly for maths and literacy skills
• Develop ideas about behaviour and how to support youngsters who present challenges with their behaviour
• Help LSAs / TAs communicate effectively with teaching staff and plan for their own professional development
