Re-discovering Maths
A Presentation by Amy Maunder
The idea of SEN maths intervention at KS3 is a relatively new concept for many secondary schools. This session has a focus on supporting maths intervention in KS3. This will include:
- identifying students in need of intervention
- assessing basic skill levels
- delivering intervention to build on basic skills that have not been embedded through key stages 1 and 2
- supporting practical maths in the mainstream maths classroom
Target Audience and age group:
SENCos, intervention teachers and maths teachers in secondary schools
